Capt. Tiziano Vercellino

Tiziano Vercellino is a professional pilot with a strong background in both military and commercial aviation, with over 20,000 total flight hours. He joined the Italian Air Force Academy in 1980 as part of Course Zodiaco III, and completed advanced training at Sheppard Air Force Base (USA) under the ENJJPT (Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training Program), flying T-37 and T-38 aircraft.

During his military career, he served as pilot and instructor on a wide range of aircraft including:
• MB-339A and SF-260 (Flight Instructor)
• C-130H with the 40th Air Brigade / 50th Wing
• Dornier DO-228 of the Italian Army
• Boeing 707 Tanker
• Boeing E-3 AWACS in NATO operations

He accumulated experience on more than 15 military aircraft types, actively supporting training, operational deployments, and multinational missions.

After his military career, he worked for over 25 years as a commercial airline pilot with Alitalia, flying:
MD-80, Airbus A320 family, and Airbus A330, on both long haul and short haul flights.
