Safety Pilots

“Facilitators, Instructors and Leaders on our FORMATION CLINICS are your “Safety Pilots”  .

All our team members are former Italian Air Force Instructors (IP) or Type Rating Instructors.

This role and figure is typical on Air Force School, unfortunately there are no civil aviation certified formation instructors. For EASA in Europe only FI (A) or CRI (A) could teach as “dual time” on borad of a single engine piston aircraft. Following FAST guidelines we welcome any type of Instructor qualified professional to obtain LEADER competence which will endorse the FI or CRI to train pilots in dual formation training. 

Our team so far have only former Military Instructor Pilots as trainer. Many of them came from the Italian Air Force training wings, and have long time mastered the art of formation flying, evene if nott all of them possess actual FI or CRI Easa certificate.

For this reason we will define them as FACILITATORS, and the owner of the aircraft will always be the PILOT IN COMMAND.
